2nd Line NOC Engineer

Location: London

Type: Permanent

Shifts: 24/7 - 2 Days (7am-7pm), 2 Nights (7pm-7am), 4 Days Off

Salary: £45,000 + 10% Shift Allowance + Benefits

About the Role

We're looking for a 2nd Linke NOC Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically driven individual to play a key role in supporting enterprise-grade network solutions for a wide range of customers across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical faults across a wide range of network technologies
Manage support tickets, incidents, and change requests efficiently and professionally
Document customer solutions using OSS tools, Visio diagrams, and technical write-ups
Work closely with 3rd line engineers and internal teams for escalations
Assist the delivery team in configuring and implementing new customer projects
Maintain consistent and professional communication with customersTechnical Environment

You'll be working within a broad and modern technical stack, including:

Switching: Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, HP, Dell, Juniper

Wireless: Cisco, Meraki, Aruba

Security: Palo Alto, Prisma, Fortinet, Cisco ASA

SD-WAN: Citrix, Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Nuage

Other Technologies: Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, DOT1x, Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K

Skills & Experience Required

Understanding of networking equivalent to CCNA R&S or JNCIS-ENT level
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (STP, Dot1Q, QinQ, VPLS) and Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP)
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Strong customer service focus with a proactive and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a shift-based team
Willingness to take ownership and continuously develop technical skillsDesirable (Nice to Have)

CCNA, CCNP and/or JNCIS certifications
Experience with Unix/Linux systems and scripting (Python, Bash)
Hands-on with Juniper SRX/EX, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco ASA firewalls
Familiarity with Alcatel SR & ESS
Comfortable using network analysis tools like WiresharkApply Now:
