Job Title- CDAO Portfolio Governance Analyst

Location: Glasgow – Barclays Clyde Place (2 Days Onsite)Contract: 6 Months

Overall Purpose of the RoleBarclays is looking for a proactive and organised Governance Analyst to support the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) within the Chief Operating Office, working closely with the Investment Bank on a range of strategic data governance initiatives.

This is a non-technical role focused on governance, coordination, risk and control, and stakeholder engagement — ideal for someone with experience working across structured programmes or portfolios in a Financial Services environment.

You don’t need to come from a formal PMO background, but you will need to be confident managing governance routines, driving accountability, and keeping complex workstreams on track.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the oversight and coordination of the CDAO’s data governance book of work

Maintain and monitor key governance activities including risk logs, issue tracking, and status reporting

Coordinate regular meetings, forums, and stakeholder sessions, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up

Work with data, risk, and control leads to ensure actions and issues are properly managed and escalated

Prepare updates and reports that help track progress and surface key risks or blockers

Use and maintain governance tooling including JIRA and SharePoint

Act as a central point of contact to keep stakeholders aligned, informed, and moving forward

Key Skills & Experience
Financial Services experience is essential – familiarity with governance, control, or change environments

Experience supporting governance or oversight functions (not necessarily as a formal PMO)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail – able to manage actions, timelines, and deliverables effectively

Confident stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – can work with senior leaders and peers to drive outcomes

Proficient in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and JIRA

Comfortable working in a well-structured environment, but adaptable and able to take initiative without rigid process

Understanding of risk and control frameworks is a strong advantage

Experience in investment banking or a data governance context is highly desirable
