Crypto Operations/Client Service Analyst


ClearToken Depository is seeking a Crypto Settlements Analyst reporting to the ClearToken Depository Head of Operations & IT. ClearToken Depository is building a settlement service for the digital markets, offering the benefits of traditional market structure concepts of centralised settlement for emerging digital asset. We aim to introduce standardised operational processes and procedures across the settlement processes. Our goal is to streamline settlement processing, removing the need to pre-fund and thereby increasing capital efficiency for our clients.


The hiring firm will be ClearToken Services Ltd, from which ClearToken operating entities source shared services of the ClearToken group. Whilst the role will initially focus on the business of ClearToken Depository it is expected that the successful candidate will also perform a similar operational role for ClearToken CCP, as required.



Role Description & Objectives

ClearToken is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Crypto Operations and Client Service Analyst to support daily post-trade settlement activities related to digital assets. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely processing of settlement instructions, reconciliation of positions and cash movements, and managing communication with Trade Sources and reporting feeds, Venues, Participants, Banks, and Custodians.


The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise from the financial services sector, with a solid understanding of back-office systems, settlement workflows, and asset servicing—preferably including exposure to blockchain-based or tokenized asset infrastructure.


The candidate should be energized by team building and problem solving in the service of clients and their team members. The role is in a rapidly growing company and will involve early responsibility in a close-knit, high performing team serving a dynamic, fast changing industry.


The role will be responsible for:


Settlement Operations Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily settlement activities for digital assets, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Interface directly with Participants, Custodians, and Banking partners to coordinate settlement instructions, resolve discrepancies, and confirm completion
  • Perform daily reconciliations of positions and cash across internal ledgers, bank statements, and custodial records
  • Investigate and resolve settlement fails, breaks, or exceptions, escalating where necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of all settlement activity and support internal reporting requirements
  • Perform daily transaction monitoring including generation of reports and investigation of alerts
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance settlement processes, system functionality, and automation initiatives
  • Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational controls
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and risk management frameworks
  • Contribute to new asset and product launches from a settlement and operational readiness perspective
  • Liaising with other internal teams such as Legal & Compliance, Risk, Engineering and Product to help define and drive forward the company’s strategy


Onboarding and Client Data Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain all onboarding data and documentation for new clients, venues, banks and custodians, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Proactively chase clients and counterparties for outstanding information, documentation, or responses, using structured follow-up processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of onboarding progress, outstanding items, and all client communications.
  • Collaborate with the Partner Engagement team to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for all clients.
  • Escalate unresolved onboarding issues to management and contribute to the development of onboarding best practices.


ClearToken Depository is a dynamic environment and being able to work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to land key commercial and regulatory goals will be vital.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 3+ years of experience in back-office operations or settlements within financial services (e.g. CME/LCH, Prime Broker, banking, broker-dealer, asset management, custodian)
  • Strong understanding of settlement lifecycle, including trade capture, matching, instruction generation, reconciliation, and fails management
  • Strong customer-facing skills and experience of delivering quality customer service
  • Familiarity with interfacing with third parties, including participants, counterparties, custodians, and banking institutions
  • Proficiency in using back-office and reconciliation systems
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital assets, blockchain-based settlement platforms, or tokenized securities
  • Knowledge of DLT infrastructure, smart contracts, or crypto custody models
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting and operational risk controls related to digital assets
