About the Role

We are seeking a Deputy Crypto Manager to support the Crypto Manager in the provision and management of live and planned cryptographic assets for the NSoIT(D) programme. This role involves assisting in cryptographic planning, ensuring compliance with MOD policies, and engaging with key stakeholders to maintain the secure management of cryptographic assets.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development, management, and execution of cryptographic plans to meet delivery goals.

Assist in the ongoing oversight of cryptographic processes, ensuring policy compliance and security adherence.

Work alongside the Crypto Manager to manage cryptographic assets, including hardware and keymat.

Engage with key stakeholders, including Front Line Commands, Cryptographic Services for Defence, and UK National Distribution Agency.

Act as a key member of the OpNET Service Operations team, supporting live and planned cryptographic activities.

Contribute to risk management strategies, identifying and mitigating risks related to cryptographic operations.

Assist in developing and maintaining a detailed cryptographic management plan.

Support the transition of cryptographic processes from project development to live service operations.

Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting, contributing to cryptographic security policy development.

Ensure effective use of resources and collaboration with technical, commercial, and financial stakeholders.

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Experience in a cryptographic management environment within MOD.

Knowledge of cryptographic capacity and demand management.

Understanding of CAPS processes and cryptographic device procurement.

Familiarity with Crypto Net Controller principles.

Strong grasp of governance and risk control frameworks.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Experience in supporting the development and maintenance of cryptographic plans.

Must hold DV Clearance
