National Account Manager – Food Manufacturing

£50,000 + £5k Car Allowance

Preston (Hybrid)

This is a proper National Account Manager role. Not one of those “assist the person who actually manages the account” gigs.

You’ll be the face of the business to one of the UK’s major retailers. That means full ownership — joint business plans, range reviews, forecasting, NPD launches, promotional planning — the works.

It’s with a major food manufacturer that sells a product people actually buy and eat. Not the latest wellness app. Not some AI-powered blockchain-flavoured CRM software.

You’ll be working cross-functionally with supply chain, tech, NPD and agriculture to make things happen. You'll need to be confident in front of a buyer, sharp with the numbers, and not afraid to push back when needed. This is retail — you know the deal.

What’s in it for you?

£50k base
£5k car allowance
Proper progression routes — they like promoting from within
A commercial team that lets you get on with it, but is always there when you need them
What You’ll need:

Experience in a similar retail NAM role in food manufacturing (fresh or chilled ideally)
A driving licence
Some gravitas, and the ability to not fold under pressure when a buyer plays hardball
If this strikes a chord with you and your CV is ready, then click apply now! If your CV is not ready and you want to learn more, call me (Olly) on (phone number removed)
