Job Title: Assistant Production Manager
Location: Lutterworth
Shift: 08:30am to 5:00pm Mon to Fri + Overtime
Salary: £30-£32k per annum depending on experience

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Production Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy production and warehouse facility. This role involves managing assembly and packing of retail-branded POS displays and retail fixtures/furniture, coordinating warehouse logistics, overseeing production staff, and supporting project delivery from goods in/out to on-site installations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency across multiple units, ensuring health & safety compliance, and supporting the Production Manager in overseeing people, processes, and physical resources.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

Assist with the assembly and dry builds of bespoke retail projects
Manage and support the goods in/out process and monitor offsite stock storage
Maintain tidy and safe working environments across warehouse and external areas
Conduct daily/weekly forklift checks and submit reports
Monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables and tools across units
Liaise with project managers to identify item ownership for received goods
Maintain accurate inventory records and supplier communications
Provide on-site support with fitting teams as required (including outside normal hours)Team & Resource Management

Mentor and manage production operatives, subcontractors, and warehouse personnel
Support scheduling and efficient deployment of labour and resources
Step in for the Production Manager when needed with support from senior leadership
Collaborate with the Installations team to maximise operational efficiency
Contribute to maintaining and improving the overall professional standard of facilities
Represent the company's standards and values in all external communicationsKey Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a production/warehouse management role (retail POS or manufacturing experience desirable)
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Proficient in warehouse operations and stock management
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
Flexible and hands-on with a problem-solving attitude
