The Role - Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will be the voice of the Customer, ensuring requirements are fully met while driving a culture of right first time. You'll be responsible for ensuring product compliance, continuous improvement, and Quality Management System (QMS) excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing quality input for new bids and contract reviews
Creating and implementing quality plans to meet customer needs
Leading investigations into non-conformance, root cause analysis, and concession management
Managing and hosting customer audits and inspections
Overseeing quality escapes and supporting customer investigations
Completing First Article Inspections (AS9102) and supporting new product introduction
Driving QMS compliance and improvement initiatives
Generating and tracking quality metrics to meet targets
Supporting MRB, NCR, FRACA, and inspection activitiesYou will also play a crucial role in maintaining safe working practices and ensuring compliance with site Safety, Health, and Environment policies.

About You

Qualifications:

Engineering HND/HNC or equivalent experience
Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, AS9110, Part 21(G), Part 145, DAOS)
Familiarity with AS9145, APQP, PPAP, FAIR, PFMEA, MSA, and Control Plans
Experience with FAA compliance and ESA/CAA regulations
Practical application of structured problem-solving (8D, RCCA, 5-Why)
Hands-on experience in quality assurance, QMS auditing, and compliance
Ability to interpret and flow down customer quality requirements
Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action techniques
Competence in one or more specialisms: Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Metrology, Systems, Composites

Additional Information

This role involves contact with US ITAR-controlled technology, goods, and information. As such, candidates may be required to undergo additional screening as part of the recruitment process
