Proof of work

The team

We’re hiring a Compliance Officer to support compliance across two Bermuda Class F digital asset businesses, both part of the same global group.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, high-integrity environment. You’ll work closely with the Bermuda MLRO, local leadership, and global compliance teams to help ensure we meet Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) requirements while supporting a scalable, technology-driven digital asset platform.

If you’re excited by complex regulation, global crypto markets, and building compliance that works in practice, this role is for you.

The opportunity

  • Support day-to-day compliance across two related Bermuda Class F licensees.

  • Help maintain compliance with the Digital Asset Business Act, AML/ATF laws, and custody requirements.

  • Work directly on BMA regulatory interactions, including supervisory requests and reviews.

  • Support AML/ATF activities such as customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, and escalation.

  • Contribute to compliance oversight for exchange activity, custodial wallet services, derivatives trading, and digital asset lending.

  • Participate in product and token due diligence and material change assessments.

  • Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed compliance into real-world workflows.

Skills you should HODL

  • 6+ years’ experience in compliance, AML/ATF, or financial crime.

  • Experience in digital assets, fintech, crypto exchanges, or regulated financial services.

  • Comfortable navigating global platforms with local regulatory accountability.

  • Detail-oriented, practical, and confident exercising judgment.

  • Resident in Bermuda and eligible to work on-island.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Bermuda-regulated entities or BMA supervision.

  • Exposure to custody, exchanges, derivatives, or lending products.

  • AML or compliance certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA, ACAMS).

This role is subject to BMA Fit and Proper requirements. The successful candidate must demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, regulatory credibility, and professional competence. Appointment may be subject to BMA notification or approval.

Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.

We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives. We hire strictly based on merit, meaning we seek out the candidates with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills considered the most suitable for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgable about crypto!

We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments are designed to evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Assessment results are considered alongside other relevant information, such as experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.

As an equal opportunity employer, we don’t tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. Whether that’s based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state or local laws.

Where to Advertise Blockchain Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise blockchain jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach Web3, smart contract and protocol engineers. The candidate pool is global in outlook but concentrated in specific communities — protocol engineers, smart contract developers, DeFi specialists and Web3 product leaders who move between roles through networks and community channels as much as traditional job boards. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that blockchain professionals expect. Specialist platforms, crypto-native communities and targeted outreach each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by BlockchainJobs.uk, covers where to advertise blockchain roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
