Do you want to shape the future of value transfer?

At Elliptic, we're solving problems that have never been solved before. Our technology helps financial institutions and crypto businesses navigate one of the most complex and fast-moving compliance challenges in the world. Our engineering platform sits at the heart of everything we do, and we're growing fast.

We're hiring multiple Engineering Managers to lead teams across three tracks as we scale. This is a rare opportunity to join at a genuine inflection point, with the autonomy to build teams and working cultures you're proud of.

Our Open positions

We're hiring one EM for each of the following areas:

Data Engineering You'll lead the engineers building the data pipelines, ETLs, and analytical infrastructure that power Elliptic's compliance intelligence. A background in data engineering or analytics engineering is important here. You'll need to credibly support and challenge engineers working with large-scale data systems.

DevOps and Platform You'll lead the engineers responsible for the reliability, scalability, and developer experience of Elliptic's platform. An infrastructure or platform engineering background will help you earn trust quickly and make good technical judgement calls alongside your team.

Product Engineering You'll lead two teams building Elliptic's customer-facing products: one focused on a high-throughput screening API with a supporting interface, and one building a visual graph explorer used by investigators and analysts. A full-stack or API engineering background will help you understand the trade-offs your teams face day-to-day.

The Opportunity

Elliptic's engineering organisation has grown significantly and is continuing to scale. Engineering Managers are the core of our culture and the people we trust to shape how our teams operate and how our engineers grow. We're looking for the right individuals to take genuine ownership of that, bringing their own experience and judgement to a set of real, unsolved challenges.

What You'll Do

People and growth

  • Run regular 1-1s and performance reviews, giving your engineers personalised, honest feedback

  • Understand each person's career goals and actively help them pursue them

  • Build a healthy team culture where expectations are clear, people feel safe, and everyone can contribute fully

  • Own hiring for your team, from identifying gaps through to making decisions

  • Build onboarding plans that set new starters up properly, not just on paper

Team health and ways of working

  • Own the health of your team, monitoring individual happiness and engagement with the team's mission

  • Continuously refine your team's processes and ways of working to keep things frictionless

  • Identify and remove the friction slowing your teams down, using data where you can

  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across engineering more broadly

Objectives and delivery

  • Participate actively in product and technical OKR-setting cycles, bringing your team's perspective into roadmap and goal-setting conversations

  • Partner closely with your Tech Leads, who own delivery planning and execution, to ensure teams are well set up to hit their goals

  • Stay close enough to the work to represent your teams confidently across the business, and keep the Head of Applications informed on progress and blockers

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 2-6 years of experience managing engineers

  • Have a technical background in the relevant track (data, platform/DevOps, or full-stack/API)

  • Build trust quickly and lead through empowerment rather than control

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by building structure around it

  • Use data to understand what's working and what isn't

  • Are honest, direct, and care deeply about the people you work with

  • Celebrate failure as a learning opportunity and share those learnings openly

  • Are fluent in AI

Bonus points if you:

  • Have been through a company scaling phase before

  • Have experience with high-throughput APIs, data-intensive products, or data pipelines (relevant by track)

  • HODL some crypto and have genuine curiosity about the space

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary

  • 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays

  • Private health insurance and wellness program

  • Pension plan

  • EMI options

  • Enhanced parental leave

  • Career development plan & personal training budget of $1000 per year

  • Regular team events, including lunches, socials and quarterly team events

  • Home office allowance

  • All of the equipment you need to be successful

  • Collaborative, flexible and friendly environment with a truly hybrid working policy

Where to Advertise Blockchain Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise blockchain jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach Web3, smart contract and protocol engineers. The candidate pool is global in outlook but concentrated in specific communities — protocol engineers, smart contract developers, DeFi specialists and Web3 product leaders who move between roles through networks and community channels as much as traditional job boards. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that blockchain professionals expect. Specialist platforms, crypto-native communities and targeted outreach each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by BlockchainJobs.uk, covers where to advertise blockchain roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
