If you’re a commercially driven procurement professional who enjoys getting under the skin of a supply chain and delivering tangible cost savings, this role is all about impact.

This is a client-facing Procurement & Contracts Manager position within an established manufacturing environment, focused on analysing third-party spend, developing smart contracting strategies, and reducing operational expenditure. You’ll act as a trusted advisor bridging site teams, group procurement, and legal while delivering data-led, credible savings plans.

The Role & Responsibilities



Analyse and map end-to-end supply chains to identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities.

Review existing supplier arrangements, scopes, and commercial contracts and terms, developing data-driven savings strategies aligned to client objectives.

*

Lead high-value, high-risk contract development including commercial negotiation and implementation.

*

Act as the key interface between site-based stakeholders, group procurement and legal teams.

*

Provide procurement and contract guidance to budget holders and cross-functional site teams.

*

Ensure supply chain and contract compliance in line with client and governance requirements.

*

Deliver detailed reporting on savings, performance, and pipeline activity to senior stakeholders.

*

Contribute to annual budget planning and long-term contracting strategies.

Desirable Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience in both procurement and contract management, ideally within manufacturing, chemcials, industrial or complex operational environments.

*

Track record of delivering measurable cost reduction through strategic sourcing and contracting.

*

Experience leading high-value ITTs, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation.

*

Strong understanding of terms & conditions, forms of contract, and contracting strategies.

*

Comfortable working to challenging, target-driven objectives.

*

Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

*

CIPS qualified or working towards (or equivalent industry experience).
