Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full stack Software Engineer III to join our growing engineering team. As a Software Engineer III, you will contribute significantly to the design, development, and maintenance of our core applications. You will work independently and collaboratively on complex projects, leveraging your expertise in Go, Java, JavaScript, HTML, ReactJS, Node, Redux, and more to build robust and scalable systems. This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, experience with various technologies, and a passion for building high‑quality, maintainable software.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable full stack software applications using Go, Java, ReactJS, Node.js, Redux, HTML, and CSS.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services while developing responsive and accessible user interfaces aligned with the design system.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB; write efficient queries and optimize database performance.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex production issues with the help of monitoring and logging tools.
  • Participate actively in system design discussions, proposing balanced and scalable solutions that consider maintainability and performance.
  • Write and maintain automated tests for both frontend and backend components using tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Document technical decisions, design patterns, and system architectures clearly for team and organizational knowledge sharing.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
  • Continuously improve developer workflows through tooling, linting, and automation.
  • Support onboarding and mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices, sharing insights and recommendations with the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Go or Java.
  • Solid experience with frontend technologies including ReactJS, Node.js, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Hands‑on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a good‑to‑have.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience writing automated tests for both frontend and backend.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with product managers.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience with design systems, Storybook, or similar tools is a plus.

Remote employee may also be eligible for a home office setup stipend.
