Oxfordshire Starting rate £17.00 per hour (45 hours per week) + overtime paid at time and a half

Job Purpose

Due to continued expansion, my client is actively seeking Class 1 drivers to join our operations team. This role involves driving Wagon & Drag vehicles and being part of a Trackway team installing and recovering mats.

What They Do

They are the sole supplier of a class-leading site access solution, hiring and installing matting systems across the UK. Their clients span industries such as construction, events, crane hire, and temporary builds, with a particularly strong presence in the utility sector. This ensures access to critical sites like power networks, railway lines, and energy installations, regardless of weather conditions.

Essential Functions

This position requires flexibility to work as an HGV 1 Wagon & Drag driver and support Trackway crew operations across the UK. This includes working in teams of two or more and spending nights away in your truck (without sharing accommodations).

The successful applicant will have:

Ability to follow precise directions
Strong record-keeping skills
Willingness to train in operating heavy equipment (crane)
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Commitment to health and safety protocols
Good interpersonal skills for teamwork
Flexible availability, including occasional weekends
Willingness to assist in installing and removing mats
Preferred but not essential experience in construction or transmission & distribution
Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug/alcohol screening
Reliable, motivated, and able to work independentlyFull training and development opportunities will be provided, with potential for career progression.

Current HGV Class 1 Licence & valid CPC Licence
