Web3 / Smart Contracts Auditor – Security Software Engineer (Remote, UK/EU) Are you experienced in Security Software and Web3 / Smart Contract Auditing, with strong programming skills in Solidity, Go, Rust, or C++? About the Role
We’re seeking a Web3 / Smart Contracts Auditor or Security Software Engineer—ideally with a PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Cryptography—to join a cutting-edge team of experts in compilers, finance, and security research.
This fully remote role (open to candidates based in the UK or Europe) offers a chance to perform high-impact security software research while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry. You’ll contribute to securing blockchain applications by thinking like a real-world attacker to identify vulnerabilities and reduce risk.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Reviewing complex, high-assurance smart contracts.
Building custom tools to analyze, assess, and secure blockchain codebases.
Advising clients on risk and helping solve challenging security problems in DeFi and other blockchain systems.
Exploring emerging technologies, particularly zero-knowledge proofs.
Continuing to grow through personal development and collaborative research opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
A relevant PhD (Mathematics, Cryptography, or Computer Science).
Proven experience in Web3 / Smart Contract Auditing.
Programming expertise in Go, Rust, Solidity, and/or C/C++.
Strong understanding of code security and attacker models.
Familiarity with financial mathematics or modeling is a plus.
Experience or strong interest in zero-knowledge proofs is highly desirable.
Ability to think strategically and design with long-term impact in mind.
