Web3 / Smart Contracts Auditor – Security Software Engineer (Remote, UK/EU) Are you experienced in Security Software and Web3 / Smart Contract Auditing, with strong programming skills in Solidity, Go, Rust, or C++? About the Role
We’re seeking a Web3 / Smart Contracts Auditor or Security Software Engineer—ideally with a PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Cryptography—to join a cutting-edge team of experts in compilers, finance, and security research.
This fully remote role (open to candidates based in the UK or Europe) offers a chance to perform high-impact security software research while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry. You’ll contribute to securing blockchain applications by thinking like a real-world attacker to identify vulnerabilities and reduce risk.
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Reviewing complex, high-assurance smart contracts.
  • Building custom tools to analyze, assess, and secure blockchain codebases.
  • Advising clients on risk and helping solve challenging security problems in DeFi and other blockchain systems.
  • Exploring emerging technologies, particularly zero-knowledge proofs.
  • Continuing to grow through personal development and collaborative research opportunities.
    What We’re Looking For:
  • A relevant PhD (Mathematics, Cryptography, or Computer Science).
  • Proven experience in Web3 / Smart Contract Auditing.
  • Programming expertise in Go, Rust, Solidity, and/or C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of code security and attacker models.
  • Familiarity with financial mathematics or modeling is a plus.
  • Experience or strong interest in zero-knowledge proofs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to think strategically and design with long-term impact in mind.
