The Impact

As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytical capabilities in digital asset markets. Your expertise will help deepen our understanding and engagement with these innovative markets, ensuring that S&P Global Ratings remains at the forefront of financial analysis. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide accurate and insightful credit ratings, enhancing our reputation as a trusted leader in the industry. You will be responsible for delivering strategic solutions, influencing stakeholders, and maintaining the highest quality standards in our analytical products.

Responsibilities

  • Deepen analytical engagement into digital asset markets, including DeFi and crypto.
  • Conduct rigorous due diligence to extract and assess information in this innovative asset class to explain our credit rating opinions.
  • Analyze complex situations, data and information in the digital assets market utilizing appropriate methodology, criteria factors, and standards.
  • Represent S&P Global Ratings in public forums and develop effective relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors.
  • Coordinate with analysts, managers, and staff at all levels of the organization to ensure knowledge sharing and seamless integration with analytical work processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor others within Ratings on DeFi/digital assets topics and help resolve difficult day‑to‑day situations.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‑person interview at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before an offer can be made.

What We’re Looking For

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a financial analysis capacity, with deep knowledge of complex sectors.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and its application in financial markets, as well as knowledge of crypto and decentralized finance markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets and business environment, including implications for S&P Global’s analytical products and services.
  • Educational Background: Must possess at least an undergraduate degree, preferably also an advanced degree such as an MBA, JD, or equivalent; CFA designation is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates the ability to connect work to organizational goals, leveraging networks for strategic alignment, and influencing stakeholders across functions.

Compensation/Benefits Information

(This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $132,913 to $240,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.


This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
