GRS are seeking a talented and motivated Planner to support the delivery of a complex engineering and infrastructure project. The successful candidate will develop and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and support project teams in achieving key milestones.

*Will consider freelance / contractors

This role involves:



Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6

*

Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables

*

Tracking progress and producing reports to keep stakeholders informed

*

Identifying risks to the schedule and proposing mitigation strategies

*

Managing schedule changes and ensuring clear communication across teams

*

Attending project sites and client meetings to gather information, monitor progress, and assist with troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

*

Create and maintain project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and deliverables.

*

Monitor progress, track milestones, and report on performance using project management tools.

*

Identify delays or risks and recommend corrective actions.

*

Produce and distribute progress reports (weekly/monthly) and lead project reviews.

*

Work with teams to allocate and manage resources effectively.

*

Support project cost tracking aligned with schedules and budgets.

*

Ensure schedule updates reflect changes in scope, resources, or timelines.

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and project management principles (e.g., CPM, EVM).

*

Experience with project controls and change management processes.

*

Ability to interpret large data sets and complex schedules.

*

Skilled at identifying risks and proposing solutions.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders, vendors, and clients.

Technical Knowledge

*

Project management methodologies and tools

*

Advanced use of Primavera P6

*

Understanding of NEC3 contracts

Qualifications

Essential:

*

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field

Personal Attributes

*

Proactive, results-driven, and able to take ownership

*

Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

*

Capable of working autonomously and meeting strict deadlines
