Senior Planner

Bristol, Wiltshire or South Wales | Hybrid | £60,000–£65,000 + Benefits

Driving performance on the UK’s most critical infrastructure projects

This organisation delivers the project planning expertise that underpins some of the most complex and sensitive infrastructure programmes in the UK. Their work spans defence, nuclear, energy, transport and utilities – where integrated controls, high-accuracy scheduling and strategic insight are vital to success.
As a Senior Planner, you’ll play a central role in developing, maintaining and refining project schedules using Primavera P6, supporting multi-disciplinary teams across major capital projects. You’ll be part of a respected planning function, valued for its critical thinking and ability to drive decision-making through data.

Your technical remit

You’ll be responsible for building and managing schedules from the ground up, ensuring performance metrics are aligned to contractual requirements and delivery objectives. You’ll lead on:

Baseline management, performance tracking and risk integration
Earned Value Management (EVM) and advanced schedule reporting
Scenario planning and critical path analysis to identify mitigation strategies
Integrating schedule, cost and risk data to inform client decisions
Facilitating workshops and working groups to challenge progress and highlight efficiencies
What you bring

You’ll have solid planning experience across large-scale defence, nuclear or infrastructure projects, along with:

Strong working knowledge of NEC and similar contractual frameworks
Advanced Primavera P6 skills and experience with EVM
The ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
A wider understanding of integrated project controls
Location and flexibility

This is a hybrid role with on-site requirements in Bristol, Wiltshire or South Wales depending on your location. The team offers a supportive, collaborative environment with the flexibility to balance professional growth and personal priorities.
