Social Media Manager (X & Thought Leadership)

Alternative Titles

  • X Narrative Lead Lead
  • X Intern
  • Crypto Content & Thought Leadership Strategist
  • Senior Crypto Narrative Researcher

Crypto Banter is the world’s No.1 LIVE crypto streaming channel with multiple distributions arms, sharing breaking news and alpha to the world. What started with two enthusiasts in a coffee shop has evolved into a consortium of the most influential media channels in the industry, accruing over 10M monthly views; and a suite of products built for every stage of the crypto journey. We are a group of misfits and entrepreneurs who work harder than anyone else, fueled by an obsession for what we do. We are on a mission to build the most profitable community in the world.

Role Overview

We are looking for a powerhouse to take over the Crypto Banter X (Twitter) account and transform it into the industry’s premier thought leadership hub. We aren't looking for a typical "Social Media Manager" who just schedules posts; we are looking for an "Intern" in the truest X-culture sense (don’t worry, not intern pay grades!).

You are a cross between a hardcore crypto researcher and a world-class copywriter. You must live on the timeline and understand the nuances of the market better than the researchers themselves. Your goal is to move the account beyond news reporting and into narrative authority. You will own the brand voice, turning complex market data, research, and interviews into "unmissable" content.

What you'll do
Own the Narrative & Thought Leadership

You won't just post updates; you will identify and create the trending conversations, memes, and narratives that define the crypto cycle.

Deep Research & Synthesis

Work closely with our research and content teams to digest complex Web3 topics and translate them into sharp, high-value threads and posts.

Execute X-Native Copy

Write and post tweets, threads, and replies that balance wit, insight, and value to drive maximum distribution and reach.

Live Community Engagement

Engage directly with the crypto community in real-time—replying, quote-tweeting, and "bantering" with key accounts to maintain a dominant brand voice.

Drive Growth Outcomes

You are responsible for the performance of the account, using analytics to measure reach and engagement, then pivoting strategy to ensure we hit growth targets.

Collaborate for Distribution

Serve as "Mission Control" for our social presence, ensuring all content calendars align with major market events and company launches.

Your skills and experience
Intense Crypto Knowledge

A deep, burning passion for crypto with an "intense" understanding of Web3, DeFi, and market narratives.

Social Media Mastery

Proven track record of growing and managing large-scale X accounts, with a mastery of "intern-style" humor and authority.

Sharp Copywriting

Excellent writing skills in direct UK/US English, with the ability to turn complex mechanics into simple, high-converting copy.

High-Pressure Decision Making

Ability to monitor real-time market shifts and immediately pivot the social strategy to stay relevant and timely.

Growth Tech Stack Sovereignty

Advanced hands‑on experience with analytics and scheduling tools to build efficient user journeys and posting schedules.

Direct-Response Mindset

An understanding of attention flows and how to use hooks and CTAs to drive follower growth and narrative authority.

AI Tools in Recruitment

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgement. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

How Many Blockchain Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Blockchain Job?

If you are navigating the blockchain job market, it can feel like you need to master an entire tech stack before you’re even ready to apply. One job advert mentions Solidity, another talks about Hyperledger Fabric, another lists MetaMask, Hardhat, Git, Truffle, and Web3.js — and that’s before you scroll past three LinkedIn posts about “top blockchain skills for 2026.” It’s no wonder job seekers feel overwhelmed. But here’s the honest truth that many hiring managers quietly agree on: 👉 You don’t need to know every blockchain tool to get hired. 👉 You need to know the right ones for the role you’re targeting — and how to use them to solve real problems. Tools matter, but context and capability matter more. This guide breaks down exactly how many blockchain tools you need to learn, which ones matter for specific roles, and how to position what you know so hiring managers take notice.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Blockchain Job Applications (UK Guide)

Hiring managers in blockchain tech do not start by reading every line of your CV. They scan for credibility, clarity and relevance, and they make an early judgement about whether you can solve real problems in a cutting-edge, evolving landscape. In blockchain and distributed ledger roles—whether in core protocol teams, smart contract development, Web3 infrastructure, compliance/security, or product-focused positions—the strongest applications make the right signals obvious in the first 10–20 seconds. This in-depth guide explains exactly what hiring managers in UK blockchain jobs look for first, how they assess CVs, cover letters and portfolios, and why strong candidates sometimes get overlooked. Use it as a practical checklist before you apply for roles on www.blockchainjobs.uk

The Skills Gap in Blockchain Jobs: What Universities Aren’t Teaching

Blockchain technology has moved far beyond cryptocurrency headlines. Across finance, supply chains, cybersecurity, gaming, digital identity, healthcare, and public infrastructure, distributed ledger technology is being explored, tested and deployed at scale. Yet despite growing adoption, blockchain employers across the UK consistently report the same problem: a severe shortage of job-ready talent. Graduates emerge with theoretical knowledge, computer science fundamentals, or an interest in decentralisation—but struggle to meet the practical demands of blockchain roles. Vacancies remain open. Startups compete aggressively for experienced hires. Employers spend months searching for candidates who can contribute from day one. The issue is not intelligence. It is not motivation. It is not even demand. The problem is a widening skills gap between blockchain education and real blockchain jobs. This article explores that gap in depth: what universities teach well, what they routinely miss, why the gap exists, what UK employers actually want, and how jobseekers can bridge the divide to build sustainable careers in blockchain.
