Martis Search is partnering with a global FinTech Investment Bank headquartered in the City of London to hire a permanent “OTC Exotic Equity Derivatives, Cryptocurrencies & CDS Trade Support (Associate/ Analyst level).”

This is a front-to-back, trading floor–based role supporting Middle Office/ Trade Support tasks across complex/ Exotic OTC Derivative asset-classes.


Due to continued growth, the firm operates a 4-days in-office / 1-day WFH model.

The Opportunity

This is a high-exposure role sitting on the trading floor, providing front-to-back trade lifecycle support to Front Office and external counterparties across complex and Structured Products.

You will gain deep exposure to structured and OTC products across asset classes, while developing a strong understanding of front-to-back Middle Office Operations/ Trade Support, working within a regulatory frameworks in a fast-growing, technology-driven trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile trade positions, cash flows, and P&L across OTC Exotic Derivatives
  • Manage full trade lifecycle events across Exotic Derivatives
  • Issue trade confirmations and client reporting
  • Oversee margin calls, collateral management, and settlements
  • Ensure accurate regulatory reporting (MiFID, EMIR, Dodd-Frank)
  • Liaise directly with Front Office, Finance, Compliance, and counterparties
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities (Python driven where possible)

Candidate Profile

Our client is ideally looking for:

A degree-educated candidate ideally in a STEM subject such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar), with a minimum of 1-years’ Operations/ Middle Office / Trade Support experience gained within an Investment Bank, Brokerage, Hedge Fund, or Asset Manager. Our client is also willing to look at 3-years Operations – to prove that the chosen incumbent is dedicated to Operations as a career.

Essential/ Highly Desirable Skills

  • Operations experience supporting either OTC Equity Derivatives, Cryptocurrencies, or CDS Derivatives.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • VBA, Alteryx, SQL, or Python coding ability (academic or professional experience) – highly preferred, or to have the ability to self-learn on the job
  • Strong numerical and logical problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving trading floor environment

Compensation
