Job Title: Electrical Tester (EIC/EICR)

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Additional Earnings: On-call allowance of approximately £6,000 per year, plus overtime opportunities available
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, hybrid role with a mix of day and night shifts

Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Tester to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying electrical installations, ensuring full compliance with regulations. This is a hybrid, field-based role that includes a combination of day and night shifts, Monday to Friday.

Essential Qualifications (must hold one of the following):

Level 3 Installation/Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship Standard (City & Guilds 5357) includes AM2S and Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (C&G 2357-13) includes AM2

Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Studies and Practice (Military Engineering) AM2 (DAO)

Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Electrical Installation (C&G 2356)

Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (EAL)

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services Maintenance (EAL 1604)

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering AM2 (C&G 2350)

NVQ Level 3 Installation & Commissioning Electrotechnical Systems AM2 (C&G 2355)

Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification AM2E (C&G 2346)

Level 3 Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker AM2 (C&G 2356-99)

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience as a Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC or NAPIT)

Deep understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and Guidance Note 3 (GN3)

Strong experience in electrical testing and inspection of commercial and industrial systems

Proficient in completing EICR documentation and using relevant IT systems and reporting software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable working a mix of day and night shifts, as required

Interview Process:Stage 1 Knowledge Review:

Demonstrate solid understanding of BS7671 and GN3

Show a willingness to develop professionally

Exhibit clear and confident communication

Stage 2 Practical Assessment:

Conduct a mock EICR, complete the necessary paperwork

Demonstrate use of software to generate reports

Additional Benefits:
