IN2 Resourcing is proud to be exclusively partnering with a market leader in Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems to find a dynamic and technically proficient Project Engineer. This exclusive collaboration allows us to connect top-tier talent with a company at the forefront of innovation in communication technologies. This role is instrumental in overseeing the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to deployment, integration, and maintenance across major transport infrastructure projects.

The Role:

As a Project Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of key projects, ensuring seamless system implementation and functionality. You’ll configure and commission advanced IP-based communication systems while working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical aspects of projects from design through implementation and post-deployment support.
Configure and commission IP-based communication solutions, including PAVA, CCTV, Help Points, and Public Information Systems.
Conduct system validation via factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
Develop high-quality technical documentation, including design schematics, test procedures, and deployment guidelines.
Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, providing expert-level 3rd line support when required.
Collaborate with clients to design tailored upgrade and migration strategies for communication networks.
Maintain and expand a technical knowledge base for PAVA and Control System solutions.
Support service desk activities, ensuring in-service systems run smoothly.
Travel within the UK and internationally to provide on-site technical expertise. What You Bring to the Table:
In-depth knowledge of Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA) system commissioning.
Strong foundation in IP networking, including Layer 2 & Layer 3 protocols and multicast technologies.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and commissioning communication systems in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian) with expertise in:

System services
PostgreSQL database management
XMPP inter-process communication
XML configurations
SIP and Asterisk protocols
Bash and Python scripting
Ability to develop, test, and refine systems to meet project requirements.
Exceptional multitasking skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively. Education & Experience:
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Alternative vocational training and extensive hands-on experience will also be considered.
Proven experience working in high-pressure, delivery-driven environments with strict deadlines. Bonus Points For:
Expertise in communication solutions for transport, utilities, or large public infrastructure.
Familiarity with control systems (BMS, SCADA) and networking solutions.
