Are you a seasoned Network Engineer with a passion for building robust, secure infrastructure?

We're hiring a Senior Network Engineer to take a lead role in designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll mentor junior engineers, act as an escalation point for complex incidents, and drive improvements to critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy and manage LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks to meet evolving business demands.

Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance network infrastructure.

Serve as a senior escalation point within the team, mentoring more junior engineers.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for topologies, configurations, and incident responses.

Troubleshoot and manage firewalls including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA (AnyConnect), and Fortigate.

Utilise network diagnostic tools (e.g. Wireshark) and monitoring systems using SNMP.

Support VPN and IPSEC deployments, certificate management, and secure remote access.

About You:

5+ years in a Network Engineering role, ideally in a customer-facing or MSP environment.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), and Layer 2 technologies (VXLAN, VLAN, EVPN, VPC, MLAG).

Experience across MAC, Windows, and Linux environments.

Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP) are advantageous but not essential.

This is a hybrid role with a base in the Midlands and occasional travel as needed. You'll be joining a well-established MSP working with secure government and enterprise clients across the UK.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: (Midlands-based office)
