Copello are working with a global consultancy, who specialise in engineering services for defence and space. Due to growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Controller to join the Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management team.

As a P3M Consultant (Project Controller), you will play an integral role in supporting customers to deliver key outputs and capabilities to an agreed baseline. You will work closely with national government bodies, international institutions, and global prime contractors, sharing accurate information with stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure correct decisions are made for successful project delivery.

Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in project, programme, or portfolio management roles

  • Must have consultancy experience within the defence clients

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Strong track record of monitoring projects to time, cost, and quality.

  • Experience of working in the defence sector or a military background.

  • Demonstrable experience in Delivering quality on projects.

  • Able to managing stakeholder relationships effectively.

  • Support teams in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments.

  • Experience of assisting the Bid Winning process and practice.

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to travel to client sites across UK as required. (Predominantly South and South-West Regions).

    Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body e.g., APM, PMI

  • Experience of Scheduling and Planning in a project environment e.g., MS Project or P6

  • Experience of performing Schedule Risk Analysis as part of the approvals process.

  • Experience of Risk Management in a project environment

  • Experience in applying Earned Value Management (EVM) in project environment

    Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.

  • Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site access.

  • Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company.

  • To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency
